**Job Summary**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- To design new versions of the existing product line based on accumulated and incoming inputs and new user research
- To conceptualize and design new products lines in the space of wearables for medical immobilization
- Conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate design decisions.
- Create detailed design specifications, including sketches, wireframes, prototypes, and 3D models.
- Collaborate with engineers, clinicians, and other stakeholders to ensure feasibility and manufacturability.
- Conduct and document all design processes in compliance with MDQMS
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, regulatory requirements, and best practices in medical device design

**Requirements**:
ESSENTIAL
- Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design / Product Design / related degree OR Masters degree in Industrial Design / Product Design / related field with a bachelors in product design / Mech. engg / Biomedical engg / Prosthesis and orthosis or related field
- Special interest, orientation and proficiency in the medical device domain through projects and industry experience as showcased in portfolio*

DESIRABLE
- Professional work experience of 3-5 years in a relevant field, though not essential, will be a definite advantage,
- Expert level proficiency in at least one CAD
- Strong understanding of human factors and ergonomics
- A basic orientation with medical device regulatory framework
- Proficiency in rapid prototyping methods such as 3d printing, thermoforming etc.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes and materials used in medical devices.
