**Site Surveyor (2-5 Years of Experience)**
**Location - Bihar**
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1. Site Surveying and Measurement**
- **Conduct site surveys** to measure land, topography, and existing structures for construction projects.
- **Measure and mark boundaries** for roads, buildings, utilities, and other construction elements based on design specifications.
- Utilize surveying instruments such as **total stations, Auto Level and etc.** to collect accurate data.
- **Collect site data** for the preparation of layout plans and designs, ensuring alignment with approved project drawings.
- Verify and ensure that the elevations, dimensions, and alignments of the construction are in accordance with project specifications.
**2. Setting Out and Layout**
- Assist in **setting out the layout** for construction projects, ensuring that buildings, roads, and other structures are positioned correctly on-site.
- Work closely with the Site Engineer to **mark points, boundaries, and reference lines** for the construction team to follow during execution.
- Ensure that all layout work is performed accurately, considering the project’s tolerances and design requirements.
**3. Survey Data Management**
- Record and document **survey data** accurately and maintain detailed logs for future reference and compliance.
- Produce **survey reports and drawings** for review by senior engineers and project managers, ensuring that measurements and site conditions are clearly represented.
- Prepare and maintain **as-built drawings** of the site as construction progresses, showing any deviations from the original design.
- Use **surveying software** (e.g., AutoCAD, GIS) to process and analyze survey data for design purposes.
**4. Site Inspections and Progress Monitoring**
- **Inspect and monitor construction progress**, ensuring that the project is being executed according to the approved plans and survey data.
- Ensure that construction teams follow **alignment, levels, and layout** specifications during excavation, foundation work, and other site operations.
- Verify that **material and structural measurements** are in accordance with design standards and the required tolerances.
- Regularly check **elevation levels** to confirm that construction is proceeding as planned, adjusting where necessary.
**5. Coordination with Design and Engineering Teams**
- Work closely with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure that survey data aligns with project requirements.
- Coordinate with the Site Engineer to review project specifications and provide technical input to solve site-specific issues.
- Attend regular site meetings to discuss progress, challenges, and updates regarding the survey work and its impact on the construction activities.
**6. Risk Assessment and Problem Solving**
- Identify and report potential issues related to **site conditions, elevations, or alignment discrepancies** that could affect the construction process.
- Assist in resolving technical problems or conflicts that arise between the survey data and actual site conditions.
- Proactively suggest **solutions for adjustments** and corrective actions based on survey findings.
**7. Quality Control and Compliance**
- Ensure that all surveying work adheres to **industry standards** and the relevant regulations and guidelines in India.
- **Maintain accuracy** in measurements and ensure that all survey activities are performed with the highest level of precision.
- Work with the quality control team to ensure that the site is being developed according to the required quality standards.
**8. Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance**
- **Adhere to safety protocols** on-site and ensure that all survey activities are performed in a safe manner.
- Ensure that the use of survey equipment and tools complies with **safety guidelines** and regulations.
- Monitor and report any unsafe conditions or practices that may arise during surveying or construction activities.
**9. Survey Equipment Maintenance**
- **Maintain and calibrate survey equipment** to ensure its proper functioning and accuracy.
- Regularly check and inspect survey instruments for wear and tear, ensuring they are in good condition and ready for use.
**Key Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Education**: A degree or diploma in Civil Engineering, Surveying, or a related field. Specialized courses or certifications in surveying and related tools are advantageous.
- **Experience**: 3-5 years of experience in civil surveying, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
- **Technical Knowledge**: In-depth understanding of surveying principles, techniques, and equipment (e.g., total stations, theodolites, levels, GPS systems).
- **Software Proficiency**: Experience with surveying software such as **AutoCAD, GIS**, and other survey-specific software for data analysis and report generation.
