**Job Description and Qualifications**

**Instrumentation Designer Position Summary**:
The position is a key member of a team and is responsible for generation of all Instrumentation design on the project. The role of an instrument designer is to manage one or more projects with mínimal guidance and supervision.

**Principal Accountabilities**:

- An instrumentation designer is expected to Lead full instrumentation activity to assigned project & is responsible for meeting quality of deliverables, schedule & man hours.
- Meet project schedule requirements for generating documents.
- Good communication skill to interact with intra-discipline coordination as well as inter-regional office communication.
- Plan and organise work to meet deadlines dictated by project schedules.
- Liaise with other engineering disciplines to agree operational and interface details on all project packages and equipment.
- Responsible for issue of entire instrumentation design documents including packages required for construction.
- Responsible for generating Instrument design deliverable. Example - location layout, hook-up, wiring diagram, cable schedule, panel layouts, drawings etc.
- Should have hands on experience of working on SP3D and SPI.

**Recommended Skills and Experience**:

- Diploma in Engineering and 5-8 years of work experience required.
- Must have strong ability to multi-task in a busy work environment.
- Strong technical capabilities and ability to interface with all relevant stakeholders - customers, vendors, project team, construction team etc.
- Should have the ability to work on all controls & instrumentation deliverables. Demonstrated experience of having worked on end to end - basic design to commissioning.
- Have the ability to develop 3D model for instrumentation part, model instrumentation items, cable trays etc and generate drawings - JB schedules, wiring drawings, instrument location layouts, instrumentation BOQs, I/O lists etc.
