CNC Programmer

Full job description Key Responsibilities: Operate CNC Machines: Set up and operate CNC machines (lathes, mills, etc.) for precision cutting and shaping of materials. Programming: Write or modify CNC programs using G-code to ensure the aesthetic and functional outcome of parts. Tool Selection & Setup: Select appropriate tools, speeds, and feeds to ensure surface finish quality and design accuracy. Aesthetic Finishing: Focus on the visual quality of finished parts, ensuring smooth edges, polished surfaces, and artistic design elements. Quality Control: Inspect parts using measuring tools like calipers, micrometers, and CMM machines, ensuring both functional tolerances and visual quality are met. Collaboration with Design Team: Work closely with designers and engineers to understand and implement aesthetic requirements in addition to technical specifications. Material Knowledge: Use materials that meet the aesthetic goals, such as choosing metals or finishes that enhance the visual appeal. Machine Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on CNC machines to ensure consistent production quality. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of production runs, machine settings, and any adjustments made during the process. Skills and Qualifications: Experience: 1-2 years of CNC machining experience, preferably with a focus on high-end or aesthetic parts. Technical Proficiency: Strong understanding of CNC programming, setup, and operation. Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
