Azure Architect

Azure Cloud Architect must have done a full-blown cradle to grave datacenter implementation. This architecture will be both technically smart and be able to sit in a room with board of executives and discuss in layman terms what is going on. They must be able to design and whiteboard the information, then go onto the keyboard and perform. Cloud Focus: Primary - Azure, Secondary - AWS Primary Responsibilities:

- Be a trusted technical adviser to customers and solve complex Cloud Infrastructure and Networking challenges.
- Provide Cloud thought leadership through publications and speaking engagements as needed
- Provide Azure technical expertise for POCs, drafting RFP responses, SOW creation etc., in support of the overall sales lifecycle and consulting engagement process
- Create reference architectures, pre-sales, and technical collateral
- Support the development and growth of Trianz Cloud Infrastructure and Security Practice
- Knowledge on Windows, Linux and AIX OS migrations to cloud
- Manage overarching product/platform architectures and ensure design and development of all projects follow the architectural vision.
- Conduct analysis, design and implementation of infrastructure and cloud data center solutions including computing, networking, routing and security.
- Design and support solutions in cloud and virtualized computing environments with and understanding of hybrid cloud architectures.
- Develop and deploy automation to ensure consistency and quality.
- Partner professionally with business groups and resources across organizations to achieve goals and objectives.
- Successfully communicate, evangelize and implement the architectural vision across teams.
- Provide technical leadership and direction on projects with a high level of complexity.
- Collaborate with project managers in the development of detailed project plans.
- Assistance with issues escalated from downstream support teams.
- Evaluate existing Azure instances and provide recommendations as required.
- Looking for ways to improve operations within the agency to digitize common tasks.
- Design and build enterprise-wide cloud solutions on a global scale.
- Create a well-informed cloud strategy and manage the adaptation process.
- Gather migration requirements interacting with multiple stakeholders and Application Owners.
- Experience in Cloud migration technologies including Azure Migrate, Cloud Endure & Cloudamize
- Execute Servers, Middleware, Database and Apps migration to Cloud and knowledge in ?multiple platforms ? Windows / Linux
- Strong understanding of the entire Azure (AWS,GCP) product and services suite of products and their applicable use cases, best practices and implementation, and support considerations.
- Extreme familiarity with Cloud Adoption framework and Well Architected Framework
- Experience in defining Cloud migration roadmaps (Timeline, sequencing, priorities etc.)
- Additional experience in AWS
- Excellent communication, presentation, and leadership skills Security: ? Prepare Image Hardening methodologies while maintaining same security level from on-premise ? Should be able to suggest on-premise equivalent services/tools while migrating to cloud ? Ability to implement various security controls while migrating to cloud Automation: ? Good experience with any of the IAC ? Terraform / Bicep ? Should be able to write templates from the scratch ? Creating complex stacks using terraform/cloud formation while meeting the security requirements ? Experience in setting up CICD -- Jenkins or equivalent Experience and Certifications: ? More than 10 years of overall experience and minimum of 4 years of experience as a Cloud Architect ? Cloud Certified: Azure Architects and AWS (additional) Interpersonal and Teaming Skills: ? A willingness to be flexible in responding to issues as they occur and the ability to identify improvements to mitigate future occurrences.? ? Excellent presentation and articulation skills ? Work iteratively in a team with continuous collaboration. ? Ability to manage multiple priorities and commitments ? Ability to mentor and guide the team on usage of best practices
