**SA 8000 and CSR Lead-Job description**:

- Graudate/Post graduate
- Must have experience with respect to SA 8000
- Must have work experience with respect to CSR
- Knowledge of the rules and regulations governing Charities, IPCs (Institutions of Public

Character), and best practices for CSR will be an advantage.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to distill complex information into simple

messages and concise communication materials, tailored for the audience

**SA 8000 Roles**:

- Preparation of Manual and SOPs as per SA 8000 standard
- Handle audits of SA 8000
- Define roles and responsibilities of individual as per SA 8000
- Reponsible to monitor recruitment process to eradicate child labour recruitment and other

labour laws
- Monitoring of compliance with all labour laws
- Responsible for HIRA compliance of all departments to provide a safe and healthy workplace

environment and take effective steps to prevent potential health and safety incidents and
occupational injury or illness arising out of, associated with or occurring in the course of work
- Ensure for PPE compliance
- Act as management representative for SA 8000 standard
- Participate and coordinate HS committee meetings and compliance
- Training on HIRA to the employee
- Maintenance of toilet and sanitary facilities
- Employee grieviance monitoring and redressal
- Monitor policies for violation to ensure the organization shall comply with all the applicable laws
- Monitor over time compliance with local laws
- Ensure employee wages as per the local laws
- Preparation, review and display of SA 8000 policy of the organization including in local languages
- Ensure policies and work instructions are effectively communicated and made accessible to

personnel in all appropriate languages. These communications shall also be clearly shared with
customers, suppliers, sub-contractors and sub-suppliers.
- Maintain records as per SA 8000 standard
- Lead social performance team (SPT) with SA 8000 worker representatives, management and
- Conduct Internal audit for compliance assessment with respect to SA 8000 standard and

prioritize the areas with actual or potential non conformances.
- Maintain the record of NC, RCA and CAPA with respect to SA 8000 standard
- Define roles of SPT
- Liase with external stake holders for SA 8000 audits and other relevant activities
- Include SA 8000 criteria in supplier evaluations

**CSR Roles**:

- Responsible for internal sustainability rating assessment and improvements for glass industry
- Coordinate the activities required for external sustainability ratings providers (Eg: Ecovadis) and

improve the rating year by year
- Responsible for monitoring key environmental impacts as per CDP guidelines like Energy

consumption, water management, waste management
- Responsible for compliance with PCB norms
- Preparing the data required for annual CSR reports
- Aware of CSR expectations of Pharma clients
- Calculate, monitor and improve carbon footprints, green house gases emission of the site
- Establish and monitor KPIs related to CSR activities
- Aligning CSR report to international reporting standard (GRI)
- Coordinate for CSR activities of supplier through CSR questionnaires and supplier code of

conduct
- Raising awareness and training teams on CSR topics
- Identify & mitigate the risks associated with pillars of Groups CSR strategy
- Developing policies relating to a company’s ethical, sustainable and environmental

responsibilities
- Ensuring company has a positive impact on local communities and the environment
- Raising public awareness of a company’s social responsibility commitments through marketing
- Compliance to legal and other requirements
- Developing and executing CSR programs as well as conducting periodic program reviews to

assess outcomes and effectiveness
- Staying abreast of relevant research and trends in the areas of focus and promoting best

practices
- Promoting employee volunteering initiatives in coordination with internal stakeholders
- Work with marketing and PR teams to drive internal engagement
- Driving budget & monitoring spending to deliver results in line with planned objectives
- Pitching CSR Proposals and Projects to Corporates Sector, Government Sector, and other
