**I. Plan, Develop and Implement**:
- Plan and prepare for students learning appropriately using knowledge and understanding of the GSIS context
- Develop a motivating, relevant and educationally challenging Physical Education and Health program to students
- Contribute to the development of IBDP/Cambridge/CISCE curriculum (the production and ongoing review of units and/or schemes of work), ensuring both diversity and inclusivity are incorporated to student learning experiences

- Identify and adopt the most effective active, creative teaching approaches for all students in line with current best practice and the ethos of the school
- Break the lesson plan as per the set curriculum
- Have an understanding of students’ needs and abilities to design appropriate learning experiences
- Implement inquiry-based teaching and learning to convey knowledge, conceptual understandings and required skills to the students and respond to student inquiries and provide meaningful advice
- Design, deliver and evaluate lessons which stimulate and motivate student learning
**II. Teaching approach**:
- Provide inspirational and dynamic leadership in effective pedagogy for high quality Physical Education
- Engage in ongoing professional learning that focuses on Physical Education and Health
- Ensure the safe and adequate supply and storage of the School’s Physical Education/Sports equipment
- Establish and manage a system to provide appropriate playtime sports equipment to students
- Organise and coordinate a high quality, high transfer and daily fitness program
- Ensure lessons are differentiated to meet the needs of all students
- Collaborate with other Sports teachers in planning a balanced overall physical education programme
- Liaise with maintenance/ground staff to ensure facilities are utilised and they are in a safe working order
- Support the development of a balanced fixture list
- Support the head of the department with tournaments to be hosted inside or outside the school
- Offer opportunities for inclusion during fixture list and during lessons
- Cater for exceptional performance during fixture list and during lessons
- Support the head of the department in the planning, organising and delivery of sports day for the school
- Create a enjoyable and productive teaching environment, through atmosphere and displays
- Keep abreast of current coaching and teaching ideas
- To be aware of any signs of stress, emotional imbalance or learning difficulties and keep appropriate people informed over these concerns
- Use a wide range of technologies and creative teaching styles
- Maintain high ethical standards and display integrity at all times
- A variety of teaching strategies supporting the development of ATL skills are to be included for facilitating a holistic view of the area of Physical education (ATL skills include - Communication, Thinking, Social, Self-management, Research)
**III. Assessment and Feedback**:
- Plan and implement effective assessment for/of learning which enhances outcomes for students
- Evaluate each student’s growth in physical skills, knowledge and contribution in team sports by giving regular feedback
- Assess students and provide both formative and summative evaluations
- Design programme tests and assessment tasks as required
- Summative assessment are to be planned to assess the performance portfolio, based on the design assessment criteria and strands- Corrections of assessments and homework given in the Managebac
- Closely monitor the student projects and guide them until completion
- Provide oral and written feedback to students and other stakeholders
- Update the current status of the unit completion to the parallel teachers, head of the department and the section coordinator
