**Job Overview**:
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Lab Assistant to support the smooth functioning of the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology laboratories. This role is vital in ensuring that laboratory operations run efficiently and effectively while providing support to faculty and students.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Lab Maintenance and Inventory Management**:

- Oversee the laboratory inventory, ensuring that all necessary materials, chemicals, and equipment are available and well-maintained.
- Monitor stock levels and reorder supplies in a timely manner.
- Maintain records of inventory usage and assist with periodic stock audits.
- Ensure all equipment is in good working order and report any malfunctions or issues to the Lab Supervisor.
- **Lab Preparation**:

- Assist in setting up experiments and demonstrations for the Physics, Chemistry, and Biology labs.
- Prepare materials and chemicals needed for experiments, ensuring safety guidelines are followed.
- Clean, sterilize, and maintain laboratory equipment and apparatus.
- **Safety Compliance**:

- Enforce laboratory safety protocols and assist students with the correct usage of equipment and chemicals.
- Ensure that all safety equipment (e.g., goggles, gloves, lab coats) is available and in good condition.
- Help in maintaining a safe, organized, and clean working environment.
- **Exam Assistance**:

- Supervise and monitor students during practical exams to ensure they follow instructions and adhere to safety standards.
- Assist in setting up exam materials, equipment, and evaluation sheets.
- Record and manage student performance data during lab assessments and practical exams.
- Ensure exam protocols are strictly followed and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
- **Record Keeping and Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate records of lab activities, equipment usage, and inventory levels.
- Assist faculty in preparing student reports and lab results.
- Organize and file relevant documentation and lab reports as required by the department.
- **Support Faculty and Students**:

- Provide assistance to students and faculty during practical sessions.
- Answer queries related to laboratory equipment, materials, and procedures.
- Provide tutoring or guidance to students on how to properly conduct experiments and use lab instruments.

**Qualifications**:
**Education**:

- A minimum of a **Bachelors Degree** in Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in laboratory management or safety protocols are a plus.
- **Experience**:

- Prior experience working in a laboratory setting (academic or industrial) is preferred.
- Experience in overseeing practical exams or lab-based assessments is an advantage.
- **Skills**:

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage inventory and perform basic lab maintenance.
- Familiarity with safety procedures and best practices in lab settings.
- Ability to work well with students, faculty, and other staff members.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
