Our client is from têxtile industry and has entered the apparel industry in 2001. They are situated in the bustling city centre of Bangalore, Karnataka, India; they are recognised in the market for its unmatched apparel range and price. Their apparel range comprises of men’s wear, women’s wear, kids wear, silk sarees.

We are currently seeking experienced Cashier to join our Client team. As a Cashier, you will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, providing a positive checkout experience, and assisting customers with any inquiries. Your attention to detail and excellent customer service skills will contribute to our shop's overall success.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Checkout**:

- Greet customers with a friendly and welcoming demeanor as they approach the checkout counter.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card transactions with precision.
- Issue receipts and ensure that customers receive the correct change.
- **Customer Service**:

- Provide prompt and courteous customer service by answering questions and addressing customer concerns.
- Assist customers with locating and selecting products, including checking inventory levels.
- Handle returns, exchanges, and refunds in accordance with company policies.
- **Cash Handling**:

- Maintain a balanced cash drawer throughout the shift.
- Count and verify cash at the beginning and end of each shift.
- Report any discrepancies or issues to the supervisor or manager.
- **Point of Sale (POS) Operations**:

- Operate the POS system accurately to process transactions and issue receipts.
- Familiarize yourself with the POS system's functions and features.
- Ensure the POS area is clean and well-organized.
- **Inventory Awareness**:

- Monitor inventory levels at the checkout area and inform the supervisor of any low-stock items.
- Assist in restocking merchandise at the checkout counter as needed.

**Security and Loss Prevention**:

- Follow security and loss prevention procedures to minimize theft or unauthorized activities.
- Report any suspicious activities or incidents to the supervisor or manager.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous cashier or customer service experience is preferred.
- Strong numerical and cash-handling skills.
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in transaction processing.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Basic computer skills.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
