**Position Summary**

**Responsibilities**
- Works with Sustainability Specialist to implement the Corporate Net Zero Strategy and develops programs and campaigns to articulate the business goals to ensure alignment of colleagues in the delivery of sustainability in home office and project locations.
- Manages Greenhouse Gas Dashboard to ensure complete reporting in compliance with the standards set by the Greenhouse Gas Protocol standards.
- Audits Greenhouse Gas Dashboard submissions for completion and accuracy, identifies and resolves omissions, and trouble-shoots questions from users.
- Leads continuing education and training for users of the Greenhouse Gas Dashboard.
- Works with GBU Sustainability Managers to ensure GBU reporting compliance.
- Works with facility and project managers to identify and implement opportunities to reduce greenhouse gas emissions related to office and project electricity consumption.
- Develops procedures, tools and guidance to enhance sustainability performance in home offices and projects. Leads and supports training and development programs for sustainability.
- Develops programs, processes and procedures to help achieve the annual GBU priorities, 2030 Corporate Sustainability goals, and Corporate Net Zero goals. Monitors and reports progress.
- Anticipates and manages sustainability issues, with particular emphasis on issues that have, or have the potential to, create risk to Bechtel’s reputation.
- Keeps abreast of emerging sustainability trends, legislation and voluntary principles in the GBU and construction industries and ensures compliance where required. Provides input into updating management instructions, core processes, policies and procedures to ensure compliance.
- Works closely with the Corporate Communications team to develop internal and external communications and engagement plans to promote understanding and support for sustainability programs and activities.
- Manages content for monthly Global Sustainability Community of Practice meetings.

**Qualifications and Skills**

**Basic Qualifications**
- Bachelor's Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field with at least 5 years of related work experience,

**Minimum Qualifications**
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to simply communicate complex concepts in a compelling, concise and creative way.
- Experience of developing plans and implementing processes and procedures.
- Skilled in working collaboratively with others in a complex integrated environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Strong analytical skills and demonstrated competency in data analysis.
- Self-starter who can learn new concepts with mínimal support.
- Demonstrated interest in environmental sustainability.
- Basic knowledge of carbon accounting and factors contributing to climate change.
- Skilled in oral and written communications, including practical competence in multiple media platforms.
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office suite of products.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Prior work experience in environmental field a plus.
