**Job Title**_ -_**Principal - Data scientist**

**The Purpose of This Role**

Principal data scientist will be part of Analytics, research and Data(ARD) and will be supporting multiple business units. This will involve working on multiple AI projects supporting capabilities like model development, data ingestion, data ingestion, data analysis, data imputation, model deployment etc. The individual will be working with other data scientist and will be contributing to strategic projects from early-stage analysis to production rollout.

**Technical / Behavioral**
- Strong machine learning /AI skills preferably in NLP, computer vision
- Good understanding of Application development experience across different technology stacks.
- Strong data management skills.
- Good understanding of machine learning /AI and related processes.
- Good expertise in scripting language domain - Python, R etc.
- Good background on cloud preferably AWS Cloud services, patterns, container

- You enjoy learning new technologies, data analysis, identifying data patterns and trends
- You have Strong communication skills to manage various stakeholders in India as well as in US

Analytics, Research and Data (ARD), a part of FMR India, is a consulting and insights team that enables business leaders at Fidelity Investments to make informed decisions. The team uses a combination of business & investment research, advanced analytics and decision sciences to solve business problems at the operational, tactical and strategic level. The group has a high focus on leveraging big data and technology to facilitate critical decisions, and is in the process of setting-up a first of its kind big data lab in India. The group houses top talent, with over three-fourths of the associates having a post graduate degree or PhD. The group provides a unique exposure to the financial services industry spanning workplace investing, retail investing, institutional investing, asset management and private equity.

- Masters degree/Ph.D(preferred)
- Relevant industry experience
