Internship Duration: Jan,2025-July 2025

How You Will Contribute:
Key Responsibilities:

- Perform in-depth analysis of financial data, including operational expenses, actual to budget variances, monthly trends and insights.
- Develop and maintain financial models, forecasts, and reports to support budgeting and financial processes with the ability to create data visualization and dashboards to track financial performance (e.g. PowerBI)
- Collaborate with finance teams and IT to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting
- Assist in the preparation of financial presentations and reports for executive leadership and stakeholders.
- Support ad-hoc financial analysis requests and special projects as required.

You will also be responsible to bring awareness about the best operations and automation practices and collaborate within Ciena IT.

The Must Haves:

- Undergoing MCA/MSc / B.Com/M.Com
- Strong understanding of financial accounting principles, budget management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis using tools such as Excel, SQL, and data visualization software (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.

Assets:

- Problem-solving approach, effective communication, and ownership.
- Awareness of Agile and understanding of iterative development methodology.
