**A data entry operators’ job responsibilities include -**
- To transfer data from paper formats into database systems
- To compile, verify accuracy and sort information
- To type in data provided directly from customers or other parties
- To create and manage spreadsheets with large numbers of data
- To verify data by comparing it to source documents
- To update existing data
- To create reports and retrieve data
- To perform regular backups to ensure data preservation
- To sort, organize and store paperwork after entering data
- To review data for deficiencies or errors, correct the errors and check final output
- To keep information confidential
- To respond to queries for information and access relevant files
- To comply with data integrity and security policies
- Excellent typing skills and knowledge of word processing tools
- Experience in working with spreadsheets
- Basic understanding of databases
- Good communication skills
- Great attention to detail
- Sense of ownership and critical thinking
- Ability to perform well in a team set up
- Time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
