System Validation Supervisor 2

Primary Responsibilities
- Understanding Customer Requirements (SPSS) / SRD documents and perform Functional Testing of Driver Information / Infotainment ECUs.
- Involve in Test Script Update and keen to work towards Automation.
- Involve in Test procedure development for new feature requirements.
- Perform Functional Black Box Testing of Cluster and Infotainment Features.
- Knowledge sharing to team on features worked.
- Need to participate in Defect Triage meeting and demonstrate the issues identified to Requirements & Development Teams.
- Use of tools for Testing, Defects Management, Configuration Management.

Typical Duties
This role is assigned to Validation project leader of dedicated projects

Team Span: Programs under his/her responsibilities: 1-3 inside 1 OEM group

Projects/Technology Lead responsibilities:

- Organizes Estimation process in the group for the RFI/RFQ assigned - perform analyses and deliver estimation data.
- Prepares Test Plan
- Organizes execution of overall test activities for the project aligned with project timeline and priorities as well as corporate validation process.
- Communication & Synchronization with project team - main interface to the other teams
- Defines Test Strategy and Test Architecture, Configuration strategy, Change and Defect management strategy for the program under his/her responsibilities.
- Estimates efforts and workload of the validation activities in the project.
- Monitors the key performance indicators (KPIs) and control performance of his/her team.
- Drives efficiency of the team.
- Follows up on project audits and actions.
- Responsible for proper execution of requirements review, test design, test review and test execution process within the project
- Defines test execution scope, sequences and priorities
- Reports status during test events, assess product risks and evaluates test exit criteria.
- Identifies product and project risks associated with testing activities, proposes mitigation actions.
- Creates Test Report, Coverage reports and Metrics.
- Contributes to internal and customer audits
- Coordinates test activities of the project with communication protocol validation test team and tool expert team.
- Ensures test equipment is properly calibrated

People Lead responsibilities:

- Conducts Performance leadership process in the group - responsible for proper establishment and alignment of yearly goals, development plans/training plans, employee career development plans and key roles succession planning within the team.
- Administrative tasks within the team.

Support activities:

- Supports Validation Engineers in his/her team in solving technical and people related issues & problems.
- Participates in project meetings, contribute to escalation and problem solving process
- Supports assignments and budget alignment processes within the team he/she is responsible.
- Supports VPRS process by defining improvement actions when validation is involved.

Authorities:

- Reviews & Approves Test Design
- Performs Pre-Validation Check & Approval Functional Validation Test Entry Checklist
- Approves software releases to validation
- Reviews Test Equipment /Environment Specification

Desired Competencies/Experience
- Good Functional Black Box Testing Knowledge on Driver Information features involving (Trip Computer, Fuel, Indicators, Chimes / Buzzers, ADAS, etc).
- Proficient in black box testing concepts such as equivalence class, boundary conditions, all pairs, all path, positive & negative tests, etc.
- Knowledge on Scripting is Mandatory (Winwrap or CAPL)
- Good knowledge on Network Tools - Vector CANoE / CANalyzer, Test Simulation, Measurement and Trace Debugging.
- Knowledge on protocols - Communication (CAN, LIN) and Diagnostics Protocol (GGDS, UDS)
- Understanding on Software Test Life Cycle phases (CMM/CMMi) and methodologies (Agile, V Model)
- Knowledge on process and able to demonstrate how it has been deployed in projects worked.
- Knowledge on Requirement Management Tools (Ex: DNG)
- Knowledge on Tools for Configuration Management, Defects Management, Peer Reviews of Requirements and Test procedures.
- Involved in Test Case Design for Requirements and should have developed Manual / Automated Test Procedures.
