- PostgreSQL Database Administrator (DBA) Own the architecture, design, and management of PostgreSQL databases with a strong focus on optimal schema structure and rationale behind database design decisions.
- Demonstrate robust Linux system concepts and integrate systems-level understanding into database management and troubleshooting.
- Manage high-availability clusters and architect reliable backup and restore strategies, validating disaster recovery capabilities regularly.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to justify schema decisions based on business logic and system demands.
- Preferable to have relevant PostgreSQL certifications (such as Certified PostgreSQL DBA Associate).
- Required education: Engineer’s degree in Electronics & Communications or Computers, or Bachelor’s in Computers/related field.
- Experience: 2-4 years as a PostgreSQL DBA in complex environments.
- Good scripting knowledge (preferably Bash, Python) and familiarity with monitoring, performance tuning, and automation within PostgreSQL and Linux contexts.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills, including clear reasoning for database architecture choices.
