We are currently seeking a **Field Application Scientist

What we’ll get you doing:

- _High, working level knowledge of analytical methods, techniques, and workflows from various work environments with respect to analytical method development on HPLC/UHPLC _including Assay, RS, Dissolution, Cleaning, etc._
- _Ability to independently research, develop, and present solution-oriented separation and sample preparation methods for “hot areas” based on Phenomenex technology and products._
- _Work with R&D, Sales and Marketing to provide input for relevant content for brochures, website, and seminars_
- _Ability to interpret and report results after an extensive check of the raw data quality and critical results analysis._
- _Aid in the onsite trouble shooting and technical support for customers across India._
- Create technical content for delivering webinars at customer’s site.
- _Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Sales, and Operations to support the execution of projects._

The essential requirements of the role include:

- _M.Pharm _**_or_**_ M.Sc. in Chemistry with at least 7 years of HPLC/ UHPLC method development experience. Experience on LC-MS/MS would be desirable._
- _Prior experience of working in an analytical laboratory is a must._
- _Experience developing, HPLC-UV/DAD/ELSD, UHPLC-UV based analytical methods and other assays for pharmaceutical APIs and formulations (ideally also involving sample preparation)._
- _Thorough understanding of stationary phase characteristics and method development parameters like Mobile phase, pH, etc._
- _Experience in complex method development and troubleshooting. _
- _Excellent customer-facing skills and experience are vital._
- _Excellent written and oral communication skills, including ease with public speaking, along with interpersonal and organizational skills._
- _Willing to travel up to 50% and willing to relocate (if necessary)._

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

- _Team player and “go getter”, must be comfortable with proposing ideas and workflows to commercial teams_
- _Strong problem solving and analysis skills and having ability to adapt to and handle competing departmental needs. _
- _Strong time management and organizational skills. Ability to multitask and manage competing priorities and changing business needs._
- _Experience with sample preparation techniques such as Solid Phase Extraction (SPE) would be a plus._
