Store Keeper

We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized Store Keeper to join our team and provide support to the Purchase Manager in our organization. The Store Keeper will be responsible for maintaining accurate inventory records, overseeing stock movements, and ensuring efficient storage and retrieval of goods. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with the purchasing team.
**Responsibilities**:
1. Inventory Management:
- Receive, inspect, and record incoming goods and supplies, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain inventory levels by conducting regular stock counts, reconciling variances, and replenishing stock as needed.
- Implement proper stock rotation and ensure the timely disposal of expired or damaged items.
- Coordinate with the Purchase Manager to anticipate future stock needs based on consumption trends and upcoming events.
2. Storage and Organization:
- Organize and maintain the storage areas, ensuring proper labeling, segregation, and cleanliness.
- Optimize the utilization of storage space and implement efficient storage techniques.
- Safeguard the inventory by implementing security measures and controlling access to the storage areas.
- Collaborate with the Purchase Manager to establish standard operating procedures for stock handling and storage.
3. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements, including receipts, issuances, and returns.
- Generate regular reports on stock levels, consumption patterns, and stock variances.
- Assist the Purchase Manager in preparing reports and analysis related to inventory management, as required.
- Collaborate with the Purchase Manager to ensure compliance with documentation and record-keeping requirements.
4. Coordination and Communication:
- Coordinate with the Purchase Manager to ensure timely and accurate fulfillment of purchase orders.
- Liaise with suppliers and delivery personnel to coordinate inbound and outbound shipments.
- Communicate any stock-related issues or discrepancies to the Purchase Manager promptly.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as kitchen operations or facility management, to ensure smooth stock movements and availability of goods.
5. Health and Safety:
- Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment in the storage areas.
- Identify and report any potential safety hazards or concerns.
- Follow proper handling and storage guidelines for hazardous materials or perishable items.
**Requirements**:
- High school diploma or equivalent. Relevant certifications in inventory management or warehousing would be a plus.
- Proven experience as a Store Keeper or in a similar role, preferably in the food service or hospitality industry.
- Strong knowledge of inventory management principles and procedures.
- Familiarity with stock control software and basic computer skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate records.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items, as required.
