garment quality incharge, also known as a garment quality control manager, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of quality assurance and control throughout the garment manufacturing process, ensuring that finished products meet established standards by conducting inspections at various stages of production, identifying defects, and implementing corrective actions to maintain high quality standards and customer satisfaction. Key responsibilities of a garment quality incharge: Quality Control Inspections: Performing in-line inspections of garments at each production stage (cutting, sewing, finishing) to identify defects like stitching errors, incorrect measurements, fabric flaws, and color variations. Utilizing statistical sampling methods to efficiently check a representative sample of garments. Conducting final inspection of finished garments before shipment to ensure compliance with quality standards. Quality Standard Implementation: Developing and maintaining comprehensive quality control procedures based on company and industry standards Interpreting and enforcing quality specifications provided by clients Ensuring adherence to relevant quality certifications (e.g., ISO 9001) Defect Analysis and Corrective Actions: Investigating the root cause of identified defects Implementing corrective actions to address production issues and prevent recurrence Communicating quality concerns to relevant departments (production, cutting, sewing) to take necessary corrective measures Supplier Quality Management: Evaluating and approving raw materials from suppliers to ensure quality consistency Collaborating with suppliers to address quality issues and improve material quality Reporting and Documentation: Maintaining detailed records of inspection findings, defect reports, and corrective actions taken Generating comprehensive quality reports for management review Training and Development: Providing training to production staff on quality standards and inspection procedures Coaching and mentoring quality control inspectors to enhance their skills Required skills for a garment quality incharge: Technical knowledge: Thorough understanding of garment construction techniques, fabric properties, and industry quality standards Attention to detail: Ability to identify even minor defects during inspections Analytical skills: Capability to analyze quality data and identify root causes of problems Problem-solving skills: Ability to develop and implement effective solutions to quality issues Communication skills: Effective communication with production staff, management, and clients to address quality concerns Leadership skills: Ability to motivate and guide quality control team members

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
