**Job Title**: NSX L3 Engineer

We are looking for an experienced NSX L3 Engineer with a deep understanding of VMware NSX, network virtualization, and complex infrastructure troubleshooting. The NSX L3 Engineer will be responsible for handling the most advanced technical issues, designing network solutions, and ensuring the stability and security of our virtualized environments. This is a critical role for our IT operations, requiring an engineer who can work independently, provide expert-level guidance, and solve high-impact problems.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Advanced Troubleshooting**: Act as the highest level of technical escalation for NSX-related issues. Diagnose and resolve complex problems in network virtualization, connectivity, and security policies.
**Design and Architecture**: Collaborate with architecture teams to design scalable, secure, and high-performing NSX environments. Lead design reviews and provide input on improving infrastructure design.
**Implementation and Configuration**: Deploy and configure VMware NSX solutions, including NSX Manager, NSX Controllers, Distributed Logical Routers (DLR), and Edge Gateways in large-scale environments.
**Security and Compliance**: Implement advanced security policies, including micro-segmentation, firewall rules, and virtual private networks (VPNs), ensuring compliance with organizational and regulatory standards.
**Automation**: Develop and manage automation strategies to optimize the performance and efficiency of the network infrastructure. Use tools like PowerCLI, NSX API, Ansible, and vRealize to streamline operations.
**Capacity and Performance Management**: Monitor, analyze, and optimize network performance, ensuring efficient resource utilization and proactively addressing potential bottlenecks or performance issues.
**Disaster Recovery and High Availability**: Develop and implement disaster recovery strategies and high-availability configurations to ensure business continuity in the event of system failures.
**Documentation and Reporting**: Maintain detailed documentation of the network architecture, configurations, incident resolutions, and performance metrics for future reference and audit purposes.
**Training and Mentoring**: Provide guidance, training, and mentoring to junior engineers and other IT staff. Share best practices and industry trends regarding VMware NSX and network virtualization.
**Collaboration**: Work closely with security, cloud, storage, and compute teams to ensure seamless integration of network solutions across all infrastructure layers.
**Technical Skills**:
Advanced knowledge of VMware NSX and vSphere platforms.
Proficiency with NSX-related automation and scripting tools (PowerCLI, NSX API, Python, Ansible, etc.).
Deep understanding of firewalls, load balancers, VPNs, and network security concepts.
Familiarity with disaster recovery and high-availability solutions in virtualized environments.
Experience in multi-cloud or hybrid cloud environments, integrating NSX with platforms like VCF,VMC Cloud on AWS.
