**Job Location: Kalyan (Thane)**

**Experience: Minimum 3 years of working experience out of which Minimum 1 Years in Environment Consultancy and 2 years of working experience in the field of Sociology or working for an NGO in the field of Sociology**

**Qualification**:
**Post Graduate Degree**
- In Social Welfare / Sociology/ Political Science/ Psychology/ Geography/ Anthropology/Economics/Environmental Economics/Urban Planning/Regional Planning/Environmental Planning, Developmental Sciences
- In Rural Development and Management - rural economics/ Economic Sociology/Demographic Studies

**2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Sociology from recognized institution like Tata **Institute of Social Sciences, Xavier Institute of Social Sciences, Ranchi/Xavier Institute **Of Management, Bhubaneswar/XLRI, Jamshedpur and other reputed institutes**

***Job Profile**:

- **Conducting baseline Socio-Economic Surveys through interviews/ questionnaire/focused group discussions/Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA)/Rapid Rural Appraisal **(RRA)**:

- **Methodologies on extrapolation of census data to project an up-to-date status **Including selected ground validation of the same**:

- **Conduct social needs assessment studies**:

- **Evaluation of socio-economic status of both tribal and non-tribal areas**:

- **Demonstrated capacity to interact and develop rapport at community level will be an added advantage**:

- **Conduct Rehabilitation and Resettlement (R & R ) studies for people displaced due to developmental projects and development for R & R plan**:

- **Assessment of social changes arising out of development projects**:

- **Adequate knowledge of EIA legislation process in India.**:

- **Contribution to EIA documentation.**:

- **Understanding of policies, guidelines and the legislation related to R & R issues**:

- **Training on Social Impact Assessment of development projects in Rural/ Urban areas.**

**Qualifications** : Post Graduate Degree in Sociology/MBA in Rural Management /2 years Post Graduate Diploma in Sociology from recognized institution
