**What skills are we looking for?**
The AVP of Sales - Europe is a position of leadership. The position expects creating profitable avenues for sales in the region, adding shareholder value and work with the executive management to drive new initiatives as it pertains to the region’s growth.
The AVP of Sales must be able to communicate effectively, is self-motivated and shows integrity in all matters. This position will demonstrate knowledge of, and support, SpurTree’s vision, and values. The individual will be responsible for creating a strong sales pipeline with a team of inside sales resources and other avenues but will be ultimately responsible for all new sales in the region. In other words, the buck stops at the individual.
The individual will be responsible for new client acquisition, and development of on-going client relationships in the region. The individual will have extensive experience of selling in the IT Services industry in the European market, with a proven track record of achieving set targets.
- The key focus is the acquisition of new clients across the European market, with initial focus on UK, Germany, and France
- Nurturing and growth of existing relationships
- Market analysis with regards to new business and expansion opportunities
- Benchmarking with competition as well as reporting and forecasting to the executive management.
- Selling concepts to the client and influencing the client to award business based on capability and track record in similar situations.
- Conduct research as well as competitor analysis to define strategies that can help enable favourable outcomes.
- Review sales plan, pursuit plan / business pipeline with leadership to ensure target achievement.
- Conduct client presentations, workshops, and drive pricing and MSA negotiations with the client.
- Provide necessary input for building alliances with relevant product / service vendors.
- Ramp-up planning as well as launch of new projects.
- Position SpurTree as an IT partner of choice
**Qualification Criteria and Skills**
- Minimum 10+ years’ experience, whereof at least 6 years’ experience as Sales Executive in the IT-sector.
- Experience of handling larger outsourcing engagements within the IT-Service industry (pre-sales or sales phase) with focus on European based customers.
- Proven track record of sales successes.
- Project Management and Pre-Sales/Marketing experience is desirable.
- Willingness to travel up to 6 months in a year. The base will be Bangalore with travel up to 6 months in Europe for the first year, with a review at the end of the year to potentially have the individual based out of a European location.
- Goal oriented and resilient.
- Business fluent in English and preferably one additional European language
- Well networked at the CXO layers of customer organisations in any European market
- Ability to generate and nurture leads on his/her own.
