Operator Gypsum

**Job Summary**:
The Lead Operator, Gypsum - Beneficiation (Stacks) is responsible for managing plant operations, overseeing Distributed Control Systems (DCS), and ensuring smooth field activities. This role involves monitoring performance, troubleshooting operational issues, maintaining safety compliance, and training junior operators while ensuring seamless coordination with shift supervisors.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and control plant operations, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and efficiency standards.
- Review historical operational parameters and make necessary adjustments to optimize performance.
- Develop and refine standard operating procedures for field operators.
- Provide regular updates on operational performance to supervisors to support continuous operations.
- Identify and implement operational improvements to enhance efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure safe execution of plant startups and shutdowns following established protocols.
- Oversee work permit authorization, ensuring all safety conditions are met.
- Conduct regular field inspections to verify equipment reliability and performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams to facilitate timely repairs and servicing.
- Train and mentor junior operators, enhancing their technical skills and knowledge.
- Maintain high housekeeping standards by enforcing 5S principles.

**Health, Safety & Environment (HSE) Compliance**:

- Foster a "Safety First" culture to ensure mínimal workplace incidents.
- Implement and enforce HSE management system guidelines and safety protocols.
- Participate in safety investigations and contribute to the enhancement of safety measures.
- Submit reports on plant equipment status and operational challenges.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Education: Technical Diploma or equivalent qualification.
- Experience: 8-10 years of experience in plant operations, preferably with a strong understanding of chemical processes.
