Our offices in Gurgaon, Vadodara and Chennai will grow significantly and sustainably with exciting career opportunities for both professionals and young graduates who are passionate about creating a cleaner, greener, and safer world; building transformational infrastructure; making decarbonization a reality; and protecting people and the environment. **Job Summary**: Civil / Structural / Architectural Designer with Diploma / ITI Draftsmanship (in Civil / Mechanical engineering) and more than 10 years of relevant experience in a steel detailing office of repute. Should have exposure to design office practices using computer aided drafting and 3D modeling tools. Should have experience of preparing, checking and leading steel detailing work using TEKLA software. **Major Responsibilities**: - Shall deliver the complete fabrication package as per project schedule. - Shall ensure compliance with Bechtel’s standard procedures and project requirements. - Shall assign work and provide technical direction to subordinate detailers / drafters and check the deliverables. - Shall perform modelling of steel members and connections for critical structures and produce fabrication and erection drawings using TEKLA software. - Shall assist in the development of basic layout drawings for civil/structural data or other purposes. - Shall respond to fabricator’s queries and manage tracking list. **Education and Experience Requirements**: - A diploma or ITI draftsman course in Civil / Mechanical engineering as a minimum. - Specialized courses in steel fabrication shop / yard will be an added advantage. - 10+ years of relevant work experience **Required Knowledge and Skills**: - Knowledge of detail engineering and deliverables and understanding of the complete detailing work process including all the tools proposed to be used. - Good skills in oral and written communication. - Should be proficient in using MS office tools. - Understanding of Engineering Department Procedures and relevant Bechtel design guides. - Knowledge of constructability and applicable standards and codes including OSHA. - Understanding of engineering planning and control methods including computerized methods. **Total Rewards/Benefits** For decades, Bechtel has worked to inspire the next generation of employees and beyond Because our teams face some of the world's toughest challenges, we offer robust benefits to ensure our people thrive.
