**Job Description**:
The IFS Solution Architect is responsible for providing depth technical expertise to the Managed Cloud operational teams, and for owning the overall design of IFS Managed Cloud services and driving operational excellence

**role and primary responsibilities**

**Responsibilities include**:

- Design and implement an integration architecture that is scalable, reliable, easily maintainable, and customizable
- Continuously developing the design to maximize efficiency and to leverage 3rd party capabilities were beneficial (e.g. new facilities provided by the Azure platform or by the Managed Service Provider).
- Extending and enhancing the design to support new and evolving product and service requirements.
- Supporting operational teams by exception. For example, to provide technical input for incidents, support for Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and relevant follow-up resolution.
- Investigating and recommending improvements to operational processes to improve efficiency, automate routine tasks, and adopt industry best practices.
- Internal and external communication, discussions, and presentations related to IFS Managed Cloud.

**Qualifications**:
Experience of implementing and managing critical production Integrations, including a strong awareness of customer-driven priorities and commercial pressures is essential.

How these can be built to meet business requirements:

- Microsoft Azure, especially IaaS, PaaS (App Services, Service Fabric, Azure SQL, Logic Apps)
- Scripting Knowledge to automate processes
- Programming Skills.Net c#
- Experience with REST APIs / Web services
- Databases, Service Bus / queues, Web Servers,
- Monitoring Technologies (such as native Azure monitoring and 3rd party monitoring tools)
- Experience / Knowledge with Other ERP Applications in the field.

Additional Information

The ability to self-learn and quickly understand new and changing technologies in a fast-moving cloud world, how and if these changes can be leveraged to improve the solution, and the overall impact of these in the technical design and operational delivery.

Technical and architectural knowledge of IFS products - including IFS Applications, IFS PSO, IFS FSM, IFS EOI, Alliance, and other solutions. Hands-on systems engineering experience of IFS products would be advantageous. However, experience with the underlying technologies and platforms which support our world-class products is more important than knowledge of the products themselves, since appropriate training in our products would be provided.
