**Job Overview**:An STP Operator oversees the operation, maintenance, and monitoring of sewage treatment plants to ensure the effective treatment of wastewater and compliance with environmental regulations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Plant Operations**: Operate and control sewage treatment plant equipment, including pumps, valves, filters, and chemical treatment systems, to manage the treatment process efficiently.

**Monitoring and Testing**: Conduct regular inspections and tests on wastewater samples to monitor the quality and performance of treatment processes. Adjust treatment parameters as needed to maintain optimal plant performance.

**Process Optimization**: Implement strategies to optimize treatment processes, such as adjusting chemical dosages, controlling flow rates, and ensuring proper aeration, to improve treatment efficiency.

**Maintenance and Repairs**: Perform routine maintenance tasks, troubleshoot equipment malfunctions, and conduct minor repairs to ensure the continuous operation of plant machinery and prevent downtime.

**Safety and Compliance**: Adhere to safety protocols and environmental regulations governing the treatment and disposal of wastewater. Ensure that plant operations comply with local and national regulations.

**Record-Keeping and Reporting**: Maintain detailed records of plant operations, maintenance activities, test results, and chemical usage. Prepare reports on plant performance and submit regulatory compliance reports.

**Emergency Response**: Respond to emergency situations, such as equipment failures, power outages, or spills, by implementing emergency procedures to prevent environmental hazards and mitigate risks.

**Quality Control and Sampling**: Collect samples of treated water for laboratory analysis, ensuring compliance with discharge standards and environmental regulations.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in wastewater treatment or a related field is advantageous.
- Prior experience in operating sewage treatment plants or relevant industrial facilities.
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment processes, equipment, and chemical handling.
- Understanding of environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.

**Salary**: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
