- **Documentation**: Prepare and review shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, and certificates of origin, to ensure accuracy and compliance with customs requirements.
- **Tariff Classification**: Determine the correct classification of goods according to the Harmonized System (HS) codes to facilitate accurate assessment of duties and taxes.
- **Duty Optimization**: Identify opportunities for duty optimization, such as duty drawbacks, duty deferral programs, and free trade agreements, to minimize import/export costs for clients.
- **Problem Resolution**: Handle customs-related issues, such as customs inspections, cargo delays, and duty disputes, and work to resolve them efficiently to minimize disruptions to the supply chain.
- **Record-Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of customs transactions, including import/export documentation, duty payments, and compliance records, in accordance with regulatory requirements.
- **Client Services**: Provide excellent customer service by addressing client inquiries, providing updates on shipment status, and offering solutions to meet their customs clearance needs.
- **Risk Management**: Identify and mitigate potential risks related to customs compliance, such as penalties, fines, and shipment delays, by implementing effective risk management strategies.
