- Proper documentation of departmental information and ensure audit readiness.
- Ensure highest level of patient care and satisfaction index.
Operations
- Detect labor symptoms in women and provide appropriate nursing care.
- Responsible for taking care of birthing center, OBG, OT & MICU department
- Monitor vital signs like blood pressure and pulse rate in pregnancy.
- Assist and support gynecologists or consulting physicians in treating pregnant women.
- Perform delivery in-case of emergency in coordination with Labour ward Incharge. in the absence of doctor.
- Ensure comfort to mothers and babies while executing maternity nurse functions.
- Responsible for handling procedures like IVF cannulations epidural procedures etc.
- Responsible for checking the patient files, crash carts, sterile packs, refrigerators, near expiries.
- Preparing delivery statistics and maintaining quality indicator register.
- Checking on biomedical discarding on regular basis.
- Taking care of premature babies.
People
- Taking departmental training classes and educate new team members on performing procedures.
- Attending seminars and workshops for knowledge updation.
Customer
- Maintain personal rapport with the patients and ensure proper care is provided.
- Coordinate with various labs for performing tests as prescribed by the doctors.
- Coordinate with pharmacy and stores for incase of requirements of the patient.
- Addressing the patient queries and resolving their issues immediately.
