1. **Driving Duties**:

- **Safe Transportation**: Ensure safe, timely transportation of the employer (and family, if applicable) to and from various destinations.
- **Route Planning**: Plan and follow the most efficient routes, avoiding traffic and potential security risks.
- **Vehicle Maintenance**: Regularly check the condition of the vehicle to ensure it’s safe and operational. This includes fuel levels, tire pressure, and other routine maintenance tasks.
- **Defensive Driving**: Handle emergency or hazardous situations on the road, using defensive driving techniques to protect the passengers.
- **Emergency Response**: In case of an accident or road hazard, act quickly to ensure the safety of the employer and resolve the situation.

2. **Security Duties**:

- **Risk Assessment**: Monitor surroundings for potential threats and anticipate situations that could compromise the safety of the employer.
- **Physical Protection**: Act as a bodyguard, offering physical protection to the employer in public spaces, during travel, and while at the workplace or other locations.
- **Surveillance**: Keep an eye out for suspicious behavior and respond appropriately if any threats are detected.
- **Emergency Security Plans**: Develop and implement plans for various emergencies, including evacuations or deterring threats.
- **Handling Threats**: Be prepared to physically intervene or use non-lethal means to protect the employer in dangerous situations.

3. **Additional Responsibilities**:

- **Confidentiality**: Keep personal and confidential information regarding the employer private.
- **Client Interaction**: Depending on the situation, you might need to communicate with the employer’s associates, security teams, or others while maintaining professionalism.
- **Documentation**: Maintain logs of the day's activities, vehicle inspections, and any security-related events.
- **Event Support**: Assist with security protocols during high-risk events or meetings the employer attends.

4. **Personal Characteristics Needed**:

- **Vigilance**: Always alert, aware of surroundings, and ready to act quickly.
- **Physical Fitness**: Strong enough to handle the physical aspects of the job, including intervening in a threat if needed.
- **Professionalism**: Ability to maintain a calm, composed, and professional demeanor in stressful situations.
- **Discretion**: High level of trustworthiness, as the role often involves handling sensitive situations.
