**Designation**: Production Merchandiser

**Reports to**: HOD-Merchandiser/Sr. Merchandiser

**Summary**:
Assisting the Senior Merchandiser in the buying process, forecasting inventory demands and trends, and negotiating with suppliers. You will be member of a team of merchandising professionals to ensure that all deadlines are met with and inventory requirements are completed on time.

**Responsibilities**:
1. Making production time and action calendar - based on the process flow of an order merchants prepare time and action calendar and indicates who is responsible for the task. This helps merchant to execute an order whether it is on time or behind schedule. Merchants chase department who are running late.

2. Preparing Bill of material and handover it to sourcing department - Based on tech pack

(technical sheet), merchant prepares material requirement sheet. In some cases, merchants

develop and purchase few trim by themselves.

3. Preparation of **Trim Card**

4. Sourcing raw material, accessories and trim etc.

5. Preparing purchase orders

6. **Lab dips **approval

7. Preparing internal **job order**

8. Advising and assisting cutting department for style cutting

9. Manage planning of stitching department

10. Prompt and clear communication with all related functions within the company and external

parties (eg. jobbers, suppliers etc.) to ensure smooth production flow

11. Ensuring timely delivery.

12. Take proper handover taken from sampling division with all material, label and style technical

details before production order received

13. Study style in detail and identify all potential production blockages and solutions - Make time and action plan.

14. Communicate material requirements after thorough check and using judgment for wastage material requirement

15. Check material on receipt to ensure it is correct and quality is ok. Testing should be done as per client requirements.

16. Ensure correctness of patterns made by CAD before issue to Cutting Master.

4. Competence to build and effectively manage interpersonal relationships at all levels of the company.

5. Knowledge of types of fabric, dyeing, printing, foil work etc.

6. Basic knowledge of MS Office
