**Job Title: Advocate (Legal Counsel)**
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide legal advice and support to the firm on various matters including contracts, regulatory compliance, employment law, intellectual property, and corporate governance.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents ensuring they align with the firm's objectives and legal requirements.
- Represent the firm in legal proceedings, including litigation, arbitration, and negotiations with external parties.
- Conduct legal research to stay updated on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents affecting the firm's operations.
- Collaborate with internal departments to address legal issues and mitigate risks.
- Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal standards.
- Advise management on legal implications of business decisions and strategies.
- Manage external legal counsel when necessary, ensuring efficient and cost-effective legal services.
- Handle any other legal matters and projects as assigned by the management.
- **Qualifications**:
- Degree in Law from an accredited institution. A Master's degree or specialization in a relevant field is preferred.
- Admission to the Bar in the jurisdiction where the firm operates.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience practicing law, preferably with a focus on corporate or commercial law.
- Proven track record of providing sound legal advice and handling complex legal matters effectively.
- Strong understanding of business operations and the ability to align legal strategies with organizational goals.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in legal research tools and MS Office Suite.
- High ethical standards and integrity.
