Required Skills and Experience

- 10 + years' experience in Mainframe Application Development, MUST HAVE - Mainframe/COBOL/Batch and either CICS or IMS with experience of the other.
- Highly skilled Technical Specialist sought to work as part of a team refactoring a large number of Job Control Language (JCL) and Query Management Facility (QMF) on z/OS PROCS plus their component parts as part of a major Mainframe modernization program of work.
- This role involves refactoring complex and nested QMF procedures, SQL queries, and forms, to a new solution, as well as refactoring JCL batch jobs to maintain functionality in the target environment.
- Early joiners to the team will have the potential to support solution development and Proof of concept phases.

Preferred Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Management Information Systems, or equivalent job experience
- Experience in one or more Hyperscale to leverage cloud-native solutions
- Continuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to overcome challenges in software development projects
