**Job Description**:
A **Chartered Accountant** in a manufacturing company ensures accurate financial reporting, cost control, compliance, budgeting, and financial planning to support operational efficiency and business growth. They play a strategic role in financial decision-making and risk management.

**Financial Accounting & Reporting**
- Maintain accurate books of accounts as per applicable accounting standards (Ind AS/IFRS).
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Ensure timely closing of books and finalization of accounts.

2. **Costing & Cost Control**
- Implement and monitor cost accounting systems.
- Analyze product costing, process costing, and variance analysis.
- Suggest cost optimization strategies across production, procurement, and logistics.

3. **Budgeting & Forecasting**
- Prepare annual budgets and rolling forecasts.
- Analyze actuals vs. budgets and provide insights on deviations.
- Work with departmental heads to control spending.

4. **Taxation (Direct & Indirect)**
- Ensure compliance with GST, Income Tax, TDS, and other statutory tax requirements.
- Prepare and file tax returns, handle assessments, and audits.
- Evaluate tax implications for business decisions.

5. **Internal Controls & Audit**
- Develop and implement internal financial controls and SOPs.
- Conduct internal audits or coordinate with external/internal auditors.
- Ensure compliance with corporate governance and risk management norms.

6. **Working Capital Management**
- Monitor receivables, payables, inventory, and cash flows.
- Optimize working capital to support uninterrupted manufacturing operations.

7. **MIS & Analysis**
- Prepare Management Information System (MIS) reports for decision-making.
- Analyze financial ratios, profitability, and performance metrics.

8. **Compliance & Regulatory Affairs**
- Ensure compliance with Companies Act, Factory Act, and other applicable laws.
- Handle statutory filings with ROC, MCA, RBI, etc.

9. **ERP & System Implementation**
- Work with IT teams to implement/upgrade ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Tally).
- Ensure system-driven accounting and reporting processes.

10. **Strategic & Financial Planning**
- Support management in capital expenditure (CapEx) planning and investment decisions.
- Conduct feasibility studies, financial modeling, and scenario planning.
