You’ll be a part of UX team which is a growing group of UXDs and Design Technologists with a passion to drive innovation.

The team is made up of energetic and inclusive set of individuals who like to work hard and have fun. As a key member of the team, you will work closely with UXDs, Product & Engineering partners across product areas in order to translate and transform conceptual ideas into interactive prototypes.

On a day-to-day basis you will (1) Test design hypotheses & technology feasibility (2) Enable concept validation internally with stakeholders and externally with customers (3) Communicate Product & User Experience vision to Amazon’s most Senior leadership. As a Design Technologist, you’ll build code-based, and no-code based UX prototypes that are part of wide-impact prototyping projects. You will have the freedom (and encouragement) to experiment, improve, invent, and innovate on behalf of our customers. The work you do on this team will be strategically aligned with our organisation’s goals, have leadership visibility, and directly impact the Amazon customer experience.

Our mission is to provide delightful top-notch end-to-end experience to the customers by handling projects from incubation to launch.

Key job responsibilities
- Create (functional) UX prototypes using frameworks such as React, Next, JQuery, and occasionally with low / no code tools like Figma, Framer, Flinto, and Principle.
- Rapidly build and iterate on functional prototypes that express design intent, using the best and most appropriate tools and techniques for the task, at the appropriate fidelity.
- Actively participate in concept development and design ideation as part of a cross-functional team.
- Help design and deliver solutions, prototypes, and experiments to test when needed.
- Be able to work creatively through and around perceived limitations and/or challenges imposed by the delivery platform to create delightful experiences for customers.
- Evaluate and document any new creative and/or engineering standards or patterns that could arise from your work.
- Effectively present work to your team, and partner teams within Gift Card Org.

Amazon Gift Cards is a fast-growing, multi-billion-dollar, worldwide business with a mission to provide the world’s most desired and convenient gift to customers.
- Experience with retail and e-commerce design.
- Ability to decompose a problem into clear software and UX design actions.
- Ability to articulate the benefits and challenges of depending on front-end libraries, frameworks, and tool-sets.
- Experience creating prototypes with fluid motion in them (via code or animation tools).
- Bonus points if you have animation experience using motion graphics tooling like Premiere / After Effects / Cinema 4D / Lottie.
