**Job Title**: Medical Coding Trainer

Your primary responsibility will be to develop and deliver training programs that provide learners with the knowledge and skills necessary to accurately and efficiently code medical procedures, diagnoses, and treatments. You will also help students prepare for certification exams such as the CPC (Certified Professional Coder) or CCS (Certified Coding Specialist).

Key Responsibilities:

- **Curriculum Development & Delivery**:

- Develop and deliver engaging and comprehensive training materials and courses on medical coding. Ensure training content is up-to-date and in alignment with current coding standards and guidelines (e.g., ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS).
- **Training Sessions**:
Conduct both in-person and online training sessions, focusing on medical coding techniques and practices, coding standards, healthcare terminology, and industry regulations.
- **Code Proficiency Training**:
Teach students how to accurately assign diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and modifiers in a variety of medical settings (hospital, outpatient, inpatient, etc.).Guide students in preparing for certification exams (e.g., CPC, CCS) by offering practice exams, exam strategies, and review sessions.Offer individualized support and mentorship to students, answering questions and providing guidance on coding challenges, career development, and certification processes.Develop quizzes, tests, and assignments to assess student knowledge and progress. Provide constructive feedback and track student success.Continuously update your knowledge of the latest coding standards, regulatory changes, and advancements in the healthcare industry to ensure the accuracy of training content.Work closely with healthcare organizations to understand their coding needs and tailor training programs for staff development in medical coding and compliance.Ensure that students demonstrate a high level of proficiency and accuracy in coding. Help students build real-world coding scenarios to enhance practical learning.Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree in Health Information Management, Medical Coding, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).
- **Experience**:
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in medical coding, with proficiency in ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and payer-specific coding rules.
- **Certification**:
Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or other relevant certifications from recognized bodies (e.g., AAPC, AHIMA).Previous experience in teaching, training, or mentoring in the medical coding field is highly desirable.Familiarity with coding software, Electronic Health Records (EHR), and billing systems commonly used in healthcare settings.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and approachable manner.Strong attention to detail, particularly when it comes to medical coding, documentation, and training materials.Preferred Skills:
