Here's the detailed job description for a key role required to establish a new team, focused on developing turnkey solutions for bureau based Commercial lines in the USA. The pod will consist of skilled developers, business analysts, and quality assurance personnel managed by PMO to create ready to install commercial lines Forms, Digital and Data solutions. The base solution is thus targeted to unlock the opportunity to maintain that content year over year in lockstep with latest bureau circular releases.
This team aims to foster a culture of creativity and innovation, leveraging modern technologies to deliver impactful solutions. As the organization expands its global footprint, this new team will serve as a strategic hub for AMER commercial lines supporting key initiatives that align with the company’s broader goals.

- Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of test automation engineers.
- Be a technical specialist on test automation tools and frameworks.
- Drive the 'shift-left' adoption in QA.
- Manage, mentor and give technical guidance to fellow USBC team members, focusing on knowledge sharing and technical training opportunities to foster continuous improvement and growth of the overall team.
- Assist to meet fast cadence delivery deadlines for release of new product features and defect fixes.
- Participate in and, over time, lead initiatives to develop internal tooling and standards. Use these to deliver efficiencies in how we support our customers.
- Keep current on, and contribute to, Product Test Strategy.

- Work in India with the potential for occasional travel internationally, specifically to customers and also internal team events.
- Key Skills
- Experience in developing large-scale test automation frameworks for complex enterprise software solutions
- A self-motivated individual contributor and a great teammate with good communication and teamwork skills
- Good skills in Java, JavaScript and other scripting languages
- Expertise in REST API testing and automation of API testing
- UI testing and automation
- Strong experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Test Cafe & Karate
- Strong understanding of CI/CD tools and technologies such as TeamCity & Docker
- Ability to solve complex problems with practical, maintainable, and scalable solutions
- Accept feedback with eagerness to learn more
- Preferred Skills
- Experience working with the test automation of Guidewire’s InsuranceSuite products, ideally with Guidewire Testing Framework (GTF) is highly desirable.
- Additional language skills are highly valued for working in global teams.
- Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
- 8-10 years of experience in insurance or technology-related roles.
- Expertise in leading implementation projects and providing innovative, customer-centric solutions.
- Demonstrable experience with testing tools such as Playwright, Selenium, Test Cafe & Karate.
- Experience managing a pod of up to 8 test engineers of varying experience levels.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work across technical and business teams.
