From its inception in 1992, coupled with the strong leadership of the Hero Group, the foundation continues to thrive in bringing about a positive and sustainable change to society and community.

**About the internship**

India has more than 15 lakh government schools across the country, with a major percentage of our future generation enrolled. However, these schools, especially the rural area schools, have a lot of deficits which makes them low performing. Some of the challenges are a lack of adequate infrastructure, a shortage of qualified teachers, low enrolment and high drop-out rates, lack of motivation, outdated curriculum, and a lack of resources.
In order to address these issues, we are launching The Hero Model School - a school transformation program designed for government schools. This program will be implemented by our trainer/coach, who will work closely with the school and its stakeholders over a span of six months. This is our pilot program, and we are looking for interns who will help the team with planning and implementation.

Selected intern's day-to-day responsibilities include:
1. Conducting interviews with the school teachers, students, and parents for baseline
2. Analysing the need analysis of the particular school
3. Assisting the content team with the modules
4. Planning activities for teachers/students
5. Creating samples for teacher learning materials
6. Creating evaluation forms

7. Creating videos for
