Nature Harvest Farms is building a high-efficiency, sustainable farming model using protected cultivation techniques. By combining polyhouse and net house infrastructure with precision control over climate, fertigation, and pest management, NHF delivers high-quality, year-round crops with mínimal environmental impact.

**Role Overview**

We are seeking a hands-on Agronomist to lead the design, execution, and optimization of all agronomic activities on our soil-based protected farm. You will play a key role in managing crop health, improving yields, and implementing best practices in modern, climate-controlled farming. This is a field-intensive, execution-driven role requiring deep agronomic expertise, problem-solving, and hands-on work across the entire crop lifecycle—from planning and planting to harvest and post-harvest handling.

**Key Responsibilities**

Crop & Field Management
- Design crop cycles based on site conditions, infrastructure, and market demand.
- Guide all agronomic activities including seed selection, soil preparation, planting, fertigation, and IPM.
- Monitor environmental parameters (temperature, humidity, light) and adjust systems for optimal crop health.
- Conduct routine crop scouting for nutrient deficiencies, pest/disease pressure, and plant growth benchmarking.
- Manage pruning, trellising, and other crop-specific practices for yield and quality optimization.

**Infrastructure & Systems Oversight**
- Oversee installation and calibration of drip irrigation and fertigation systems.
- Ensure proper functioning of polyhouse/net house infrastructure, including shade nets, fans, and foggers.
- Support development and refinement of SOPs for nursery, transplanting, fertigation schedules, and pest control.
- Manage irrigation and fertigation schedules using drip systems and water-soluble nutrients.
- Ensure proper calibration of tools and adherence to hygiene protocols across the farm.

Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain accurate field logs, fertigation records, pest monitoring reports, and yield data.
- Collaborate with the operations team to track performance metrics and improve efficiency.
- Stay updated on relevant agronomy research, regulatory advisories, and climate-smart practices.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Agronomy, Horticulture, Soil Science, or Agricultural Engineering.
- 1-2 years of experience in protected cultivation with soil (polyhouse or net house setups).
- Proficiency in fertigation, drip irrigation, pest management, and climate-controlled farming practices.
- Strong documentation, communication, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in farm recordkeeping tools (Excel or Google Sheets).

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
