**This position reports to**:
Production Manager
**Your role and responsibilities**:
In this role, you will supervise shift team's progress against work plans as defined by Production management to ensure the proper use of machinery, equipment, and assembly lines within a production area. Cooperates with the unit supervisor to create an effective work environment and reinforce production schedules and quality The work model for the role is: #Li - Onsite This role is contributing to the Motion Traction Division in Bangalore. You will be mainly accountable for: - Organizing and allocating resources to meet line production targets effectively and efficiently, responding to resource issues as necessary, leading capacity planning and resource optimization for the assigned unit or line. - Provides regular feedback and makes recommendations to management regarding issues within the production line, including production line organization, shifting priorities, and possible critical situations. - Identifying and recommending technical equipment and facility improvements as necessary. - Reinforces focus on volume, efficiency, and on-time delivery. - Identifying deficiencies in production area, proposes improvement activities and overseeing implementation of actions to improve production performance. - Managing the resolution of critical product or equipment issues together with relevant internal teams - Ensuring with HR Manager support that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled, directed. Guiding, motivating, developing direct and indirect subordinates within HR policies.
**Qualifications for the role**:
- Diploma/ Degree in Electrical/Mechanical engineering.
- With 3 to 5 years’ experience of Production shopfloor preferably in Traction products.
- To ensure that Production is made based on the requirement and specification.
- Experience in managing a team of operators or technicians, ensuring productivity and efficiency.
- Proven track record in improving production processes, reducing downtime, and optimizing workflow.
