Openshift Platform Administrator

Labcorp is recruiting an **IT Technical Specialist - OpenShift Platform Administrator** for a dynamic team.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and maintain the Red Hat OpenShift infrastructure, including installation, configuration, and upgrades.
- Monitor and optimize system performance, capacity, and availability of the OpenShift environment.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to container orchestration, networking, storage, security, and other aspects of the OpenShift environment.
- Create and maintain documentation for operational processes, procedures, and configurations.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in containerization and cloud-native technologies.
- Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical production systems.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
- 5+ years experience as a Linux system administrator, preferably with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) or CentOS.
- Proficient in managing container orchestration platforms, specifically Red Hat OpenShift.
- Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Amazon Web Services (AWS) or Microsoft Azure, and experience with cloud-based deployments.
- Strong scripting and automation skills, with proficiency in Bash, Python, or similar languages.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack) for troubleshooting and performance analysis.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools like Jenkins or GitLab.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a remote team environment.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification.
- Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and configuration management.
- Familiarity with software-defined networking (SDN) and network security concepts.
- Experience with database administration (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL).
- Knowledge of DevOps principles and practices.

**Experience**:

- Kubernetes: 5 years (preferred)
- Red Hat: 5 years (preferred)
- Linux: 5 years (preferred)

**License/Certification**:

- Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) (preferred)
- Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) (preferred)
