Unlock your ambition, turn ideas into world-changing realities, and join an organization where every voice makes a difference, and every difference builds a healthier world The Asia Inventory Controller will be responsible for the Controllership oversight, execution and process improvement of GEHC Inventory accounting for all Asian countries (ASEAN, Korea, ANZ, India and Japan). This entails providing technical Controllership guidance to both finance and operations leaders on Global Supply Chain topics, and adding value to the business by driving cost savings through increased accountability and visibility. Also responsible for leading some cross functional supply chain related projects and support operational teams from finance side and collaborate with tax, treasury and transfer pricing teams for optimal solutions. In addition to region coverage of Asia and Japan, this role owns the entire Oracle Miscellaneous transaction (OMT) process globally. This involves partnering with multiple operations teams and TCS (who support operations team in some parts of the world) to ensure timely oracle transaction and control adequate supporting of transactions. Ensuring Physical inventory is performed for all Asia sites and co-ordinate with inventory and operational teams. The role reports to the Global Supply Chain Controller and requires close collaboration with the Inventory CoE team in India and the Global Operations Supply Chain Team in Budapest who reconcile the transactional activity for Inventory and Statutory Reporting. **Essential Responsibilities** **Rigorous Reporting Environment** - Perform financial analysis of balance sheet accounts to ensure compliance, integrity of account balances/financial reporting and effectiveness of business processes - Monitor and review supply chain transactions to ensure consistency across GEHC, compliance with GE GAP, USGAAP and compliance with local laws/GAAPs, tax codes, government regulations and filing requirements - Partner with the inventory COE to ensure timely and defect-free balance sheet account reconciliations and proactively suggest simplification opportunities to reduce open items or increase auto reconciliation rate - Support quarterly Risk Reviews and other controllership reviews with senior management - Support Budapest team on the annual statutory audit with Deloitte for ISC inventory items. Partner with the ISC Controllership team to create centralized data sources for easy access to standard ISC audit support documentation and backup and to drive a centralized audit approach for ISC. Also work closely with local auditors on site visits for annual Physical inventory audit. - Manage requests from internal GE compliance reviews. Drive closure of open audit issues and proactively work to prevent future issues / manage risk. Lead resulting corrective action process implementation and follow up throughout the organization - Manage requests and submission requirements from external tax and statutory audits -
