About the Role

**Designation**:
DGM- Inventory Controller

**Job Objective**

To ensure controls over inventories at an entity level, monitoring ordering and excess inventories, prompt decisions on aged stocks, consistency in practices across brands etc. Ensure that we are rightly stocked at all times. Provide relevant financial guidance to the brands/Channels through detailed insights & analysis

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Planning

1. Review and monitor of inventory holding norms at brand and department level

2. Monitor the buying budgets on time from a brand level leading to the number of pieces that

have to be ordered.

1. Manage end to end controls in product lifecycle - Design to Warehouse to retail stores.

2. Monitor the final Purchase orders to vendors to ensure we are within OTB

3. Work with sourcing, SCM and brands to to ensure all channels receive stocks on time to

launch new seasons

1. Monitor the stock levels (including aging) at the stores/warehouses to check whether they

are in line with stock carrying capacity/norms.

Monitor Inventory

1. Monitor and control inventory in various locations, channels

2. One view of Inventory - Monitor OSM stocks and suggest their movement across channels to

ensure these are available to all channels for sale / faster liquidation

3. Tracking of inventories on a monthly basis in terms of broken range, discontinued brands,

negative stocks, open GIT, untagged inventories etc and drive action with function heads

4. Identify fast movers/ slow movers and suggest necessary actions.

5. Monitor movement of aged stocks and actively interact with brands and channel

heads to liquidate the aged stocks including moving stocks across territories, if

required, to facilitate better realization.

6. Ensure that SOR stocks are returned on time (before 180 days) with proper

approvals from the respective brands.

7. Oversee & monitor the end to end process of returns post EOSS

Inventory Accuracy

1. Create a stock count framework commensurate with the size of the storage locations

keeping in view past count shortages / shrinkages

2. Plan & conduct inventory count using third party(ies) as per stock count framework at all

storage locations

3. Suggest action as per shrinkage management policy
