Job description
The role of a Game Designer involves creating engaging, interactive, and educational game-based learning experiences tailored for skill training and simulations.
This position focuses on designing serious games that blend instructional content with gameplay elements to enhance user engagement and improve learning outcomes.
Responsibilities include researching learner profiles, identifying learning goals, and conceptualizing game mechanics, storylines, and progression systems that align with training objectives.
Tasks involve developing game levels, challenges, feedback systems, and reward structures to keep users motivated.
Creating detailed Game Design Documents (GDDs), wireframes, and storyboards is essential for aligning design with development.
Prototyping, user testing, and iteration based on feedback play a key role in ensuring a smooth and effective learning experience.
The role requires strong collaboration with Unity developers, 3D artists, animators, UI/UX designers, and instructional design teams.
Game logic must be clearly documented for developers, and gamification features such as badges, leaderboards, and performance tracking need to be thoughtfully integrated.
A solid understanding of user behavior, player psychology, game balancing, and UI/UX principles is necessary.
Knowledge of scripting languages like C# or Python and tools such as Unity, Unreal Engine, Figma, or Blender will support game development and refinement.
Experience
