**About the Team**

This team is part Value Added Platform (VAP) is domestic eCommerce payment processor solution for US & Canada. It accepts payments from major card brands, ACH, mobile & digital wallets, gift cards, etc. It is US’s largest debit and credit card processor with average of 35 million mobile, online, and in-store payments per day. It also provides international merchants a “one stop shop” integration for global and US payment processing. Value added services provide merchants with the most advanced tools and data they need to increase and protect their revenue, reduces costs and grow with experts

**What you will be doing**
- Hands on Technical Manager who can manage team(s) of 10-15 members.
- Work closely with senior engineers & architects to develop the best technical design and approach for new product development.
- Manage daily activities of the development team.
- Instill best practices for software development and documentation, assure designs meet requirements, and deliver high-quality work on tight schedules.
- Assess compliance, risks, and vulnerabilities to ensure all systems and baselines are operationally sound, performant at scale, and exceed customer expectations.
- Provide technical guidance for systems and process optimization opportunities and participate in architectural reviews.
- Support growth of engineers via hiring, goal setting, development of individual development plans, and performance reviews.
- Collaborate with peer teams on complex, global engineering efforts to ensure architecture agreement, resource coordination, and implementation timelines.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions, recommend alternative technical and business approaches, and lead engineering efforts to meet aggressive timelines with optimal solutions.
- Career management and development of direct reports.
- Actively seek to resolve any concerns while adhering to the company policy and standards of behavior.
- Ensure proper communication concerning changes in established milestones or challenges that may affect the outcome of a project's completion date.
- Work closely with QA to ensure in-sprint automation.

You’ll own it in our Bangalore/Pune/Indore hub. With hubs in the heart of city centers and tech capitals, things move fast in APAC. We pride ourselves on being an agile and dynamic collective, collaborating with different teams and offices across the globe.

**What you bring**
- 15+ years of overall IT experience.
- 10+ years of hands-on development experience with **Core JAVA 8 or beyond, J2EE, HTML5, Angular**:

- Strong experience in **MVC, Spring, Hibernate, Application/Web Servers**.
- Strong understanding/expertise in building **REST APIs**/ **Micro services** architecture.
- Hands on experience in **AWS, KAFKA** and **cloud computing**.
- Experience with **GIT Hub, Maven, Gradle, Kubernetes** and other CI/CD Platforms
- Excellent communication skills.
- Good understanding of SAFE agile principles & experience working with Scrum/Kanban agile methodology.
- Experience organizing training initiatives for departments within the company.
- Ability to communicate effectively with senior management and other departments.
- Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple organizational initiatives and encourage coworkers to do the same.
- Development background.. using Java 8 or above languages (5+ yrs)
- People management experience with team of for 5+ individuals (3+ yrs)
- REST API
- Cloud Development Experience (3+ yrs)
- Software architecture experience (3+ yrs)
- Rdbms or nosql experience (3+ yrs)
- Good verbal, written and presentation skills
- Past experience in implementing in best development practices and monitoring them
- Open to learning new technologies
