**Interior Designer**

**Job Overview**

The Interior Designer creates functional and aesthetically pleasing interior spaces by selecting materials, furnishings, and color schemes. They collaborate with architects, clients, and occasionally site engineers to ensure interior designs enhance the building’s overall purpose and structure.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop interior design concepts, layouts, and renderings using tools like AutoCAD, SketchUp, or Adobe Creative Suite.
- Select furniture, lighting, finishes, and color palettes based on client needs and project objectives.
- Coordinate with civil architects to ensure interior designs align with the building’s structural and aesthetic framework.
- Work with contractors and site engineers to oversee the installation of interior elements, ensuring quality and accuracy.
- Prepare budgets, material specifications, and project schedules for interior components.
- Conduct site visits to monitor installations, inspect quality, and resolve issues.
- Present design proposals to clients, incorporating feedback to finalize plans.

**Qualifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Certification (e.g., NCIDQ in the U.S.) preferred for professional credibility.
- 2-5 years of experience in interior design or related projects.
- Strong portfolio showcasing design work.

**Skills and Competencies**
- **Creative Vision**: Ability to design visually appealing and functional interior spaces.
- **Technical Skills**: Proficiency in design software and knowledge of interior construction techniques.
- **Communication**: Clear presentation and collaboration skills with clients, architects, and contractors.
- **Detail-Oriented**: Precision in material selection and installation oversight.
- **Project Management**: Ability to manage budgets, timelines, and vendor relationships.

**Work Environment**
- Office-based for design and planning, with frequent site visits to oversee installations.
- Collaborative with architects, contractors, and clients.
- May involve travel to project sites or supplier showrooms.

**Salary**
- 15000 to 25000

**Key Notes on Roles**
- **Civil Architect**: Focuses on the entire building’s design, including structure, facade, and compliance. Works closely with site engineers to ensure construction aligns with plans, making them central to the technical and structural aspects of a project.
- **Interior Designer**: Focuses on the interior aesthetics and functionality, enhancing spaces within the architect’s structure. Their interaction with site engineers is limited to the installation phase of interior elements.
- **Collaboration with Site Engineer**: The civil architect relies heavily on the site engineer to execute their structural designs, while the interior designer collaborates with the engineer only during specific interior installations, ensuring alignment with the architect’s framework.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month

Expected hours: 35 per week
