Key Responsibilities:

- **Blood Collection & Processing**:

- Assist in the collection of blood donations from donors, ensuring donor comfort and safety.
- Perform venipuncture (blood drawing) according to established protocols.
- Process donated blood by separating it into components (e.g., plasma, red blood cells, platelets) using apheresis or centrifugation techniques.
- Label and store blood products in compliance with blood bank standards and regulations.
- **Quality Control & Testing**:

- Perform routine tests on blood samples to ensure compatibility and to check for infections or abnormalities (e.g., screening for HIV, Hepatitis, etc.).
- Ensure proper documentation of test results and follow up on any abnormal findings.
- Maintain high standards of hygiene and cleanliness in the laboratory environment.
- **Inventory Management**:

- Track the inventory of blood and blood products, ensuring that they are correctly stored and easily accessible.
- Monitor stock levels to ensure that blood products are available for use, preventing shortages.
- Ensure that all expired or unsuitable products are discarded in accordance with regulatory standards.
- **Donor Interaction & Support**:

- Provide guidance and reassurance to blood donors before, during, and after the donation process.
- Monitor donors during and after blood collection to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Offer refreshments or other support to donors after the donation process to aid in recovery.
- **Record Keeping & Documentation**:

- Maintain accurate donor and blood collection records in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure all activities are documented correctly for regulatory purposes and audits.
- Complete daily reports on blood processing and inventory management.
- **Regulatory Compliance**:

- Follow all local, state, and national regulations related to blood collection, testing, and processing.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and other relevant healthcare standards.
- Participate in inspections and audits conducted by regulatory bodies.
- **Collaboration & Communication**:

- Collaborate with doctors, nurses, and other medical staff to coordinate blood supply for patients in need.
- Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow and patient safety.
- **Equipment Maintenance**:

- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment used for blood collection and testing, ensuring it is in good working order.
- Perform routine calibration and troubleshooting of equipment as needed.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: Typically, a diploma or degree in medical technology, laboratory science, or a related field.
- **Certifications**: Certification in phlebotomy or laboratory technology may be required.
- **Experience**: Prior experience in a laboratory or blood collection setting is often preferred.
- **Skills**:

- Attention to detail
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to handle medical equipment
- Knowledge of blood donation and processing techniques
- Familiarity with medical safety protocols

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
