Network Architect

Work you will do.

The key job responsibilities will be to:

- Provide network and cloud security design and implementation - hands-on - support for F5 products, specifically including but not limited to BIG-IP LTM, GTM, SSLO etc.
- Assess existing infrastructure, find security gaps, provide recommendations, design and suggest architectural changes, security controls for cloud environment, specifically AWS cloud
- Undertake design, solutioning and architecture changes involving F5 products in the cloud environments
- Provide recommendations, and offer thought leadership around security best practices esp. for data in transit involving AWS networking and security services, F5 and firewall products (in cloud)
Perform hands-on installation, configuration, and upgrades to F5 products in cloud environments such as AWS, Azure etc.
Manage F5 build and configurations - e.g., configuring pools, virtual servers, load balancing methods, SNAT, server/client profiles, SSL based configuration, iRules etc.
- Reproduce issues to verify problems and document steps to replicate for Support, Engineering and Operations teams.
- Manage access requests, port management (opening/closing), route changes, etc.
- Manage storage and backup of current configuration
- Maintain and update current state firewall topology diagrams
- Perform periodic health monitoring and maintenance of the security tool for the duration of the project. Specifically monitoring capacity, monitoring logs for issues etc.
- Monitor license expiry for the instances of the in-scope tools
- Monitor and renew certificates for the in-scope tools (as applicable)
- Coordinate with solution vendor for product upgrades/security patches, and troubleshooting product-related defects and issues
- Perform upgrades and deploy patches post impact analysis in non-production and production environment in accordance with change management protocol
- Interact with clients, including working with client teams in an onsite and offshore delivery model
- Lead requirements gathering, design documentation by conducting workshops in onsite/offshore delivery model for multiple projects
- Lead and work closely with vendor alliances
- Manage project deliverables and teams
- Manage and mitigate project risks
- Enable business development by assisting in request for proposal and sales processes
- Lead process compliance activities by identifying and driving initiatives that are relevant for the project delivery and help factor reusability and related benefits
- Contribute to eminence activities, such as whitepapers pertaining to Network Security technologies
