3. Automation: Utilise scripting and automation tools to streamline the packaging process, improving efficiency and reducing manual errors.

4. Documentation: Document packaging processes, configurations, and versioning information to provide a reference for troubleshooting, auditing, and future updates.

5. Collaboration: Work closely with software developers, IT teams, system administrators, and end-users to gather requirements, address concerns, and ensure a smooth deployment experience.

7. Security: Implement security best practices during the packaging process to safeguard against vulnerabilities and adhere to organizational security policies.

3. Utilise packaging tools, scripts, and technologies to create standardised deployment packages.

5. Maintain documentation of packaging processes, versioning, and release notes.

**Functional / Technical Competencies**:
Essential;
- Strong understanding of software packaging best practices, versioning and release management.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with divers teams, including end users.
- Ability to gather and interpret requirements, translating them into effective packaging solutions.
- Proficient in using packaging tools such as MSI, APP-V, or other relevant technologies.
- Strong knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., PowerShell, VBScript) for automation.
- Understanding of software deployment methodologies and best practices.
- Ability to manage multiple packaging projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and priorities.
- Familiarity with enterprise software distribution and deployment tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
- Detail-oriented with a focus on maintaining accuracy in packaging documentation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment.
