**Key Responsibilities**:
**Database Management**:Install, configure, and maintain database management systems (DBMS) such as MySQL, SQL Server, MongoDB etc.
Create and manage databases, schemas, tables, indexes, views, and stored procedures.
Monitor database performance and optimize queries for improved efficiency and response time.
Ensure data integrity and consistency by performing regular data checks and validation.

**Security and Access Control**:Implement and enforce database security protocols and best practices.
Manage user access and permissions to databases, adhering to the principle of least privilege.
Regularly update and patch database software to address security vulnerabilities.

**Backup and Recovery**:Develop and implement backup and recovery strategies to safeguard critical data.
Perform regular backups, test restoration processes, and maintain backup logs.
Plan and execute disaster recovery procedures to minimize downtime and data loss.

**Capacity Planning and Scalability**:Monitor database growth and resource utilization to predict future capacity requirements.
Plan and implement strategies to scale databases to accommodate increasing data loads.

**Performance Tuning**:Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks through query optimization, indexing, and caching.
Analyze database performance metrics and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency.

**Documentation**:Maintain comprehensive documentation related to database configurations, processes, and procedures.
Document troubleshooting steps and resolutions for common database-related issues.

**Collaboration**:Work closely with developers to assist in database design, query optimization, and data modeling.
Collaborate with system administrators and network teams to ensure seamless integration and connectivity.

**Qualifications and Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator or in a similar role.
- In-depth knowledge of database management systems (e.g., MongoDB, MySQL, SQL Server).
- Proficiency in writing and optimizing SQL queries.
- Strong understanding of database security and access control.
- Experience with database backup and recovery solutions.
- Familiarity with capacity planning and performance tuning techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
- Relevant certifications (e.g. Microsoft Certified Database Administrator) is a plus.

Pay: ₹21,061.00 - ₹50,597.48 per month
