
Restaurant Captain

**Key Responsibilities**:
- Oversee the performance of waitstaff and other front-of-house team members, ensuring that they provide exceptional service.
- Lead by example by demonstrating high standards of professionalism, courtesy, and efficiency.
- Monitor the service flow to ensure smooth operations during peak periods.
- Provide ongoing training and coaching to servers, bartenders, and other team members as needed.
- Handle scheduling and assist with staffing to ensure adequate coverage during busy periods.
- Ensure every guest receives the highest level of service from the moment they enter the restaurant until they leave.
- Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Maintain a strong presence on the floor, engaging with guests to ensure satisfaction.
- Anticipate customer needs and personalize experiences when appropriate.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely and accurate order delivery.
- Assist with managing reservations and seating arrangements, optimizing table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Monitor and maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area.
- Ensure that all service procedures are followed accurately, including order taking, food delivery, and bill processing.
- Ensure that all food and beverage items meet the restaurant's quality standards before being served to customers.
- Conduct regular inspections of the dining area, tables, and service stations to ensure cleanliness and presentation are up to standard.
- Communicate regularly with the kitchen to ensure menu items are prepared and served to specifications.
- Promote the restaurant's menu and offerings to guests, making recommendations as necessary.
- Assist guests with wine pairings, special promotions, or any other inquiries they may have.
- Monitor sales performance and help the team achieve sales targets.
- Maintain records of guest preferences, feedback, and any other relevant information for future visits.
- Assist with inventory tracking and ordering of front-of-house supplies as needed.
- Complete daily reports on restaurant performance and staff activities, submitting them to the restaurant manager.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety standards and regulations.
- Promote a safe working environment by ensuring the team follows proper safety procedures and guidelines.
- Handle emergency situations and ensure safe evacuation procedures if necessary.
**Qualifications**:
- High school diploma or equivalent (some positions may require a college degree or equivalent).
- 3-5 years of experience in restaurant service, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a calm and positive demeanor.
- Familiarity with POS systems, reservation software, and basic office tools (Excel, Word).
- Knowledge of food and beverage offerings, including wine, spirits, and pairing suggestions.
- Ability to handle stressful situations and make quick decisions under pressure.
- Health and safety certification is a plus.
**Physical Requirements**:
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a noisy, crowded environment.
**Work Schedule**:
- Flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant demand.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹24,000.00 per month
