**Position Summary**:
The French Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality French language instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework. This position involves designing and implementing engaging and culturally relevant French language lessons that foster students' linguistic proficiency, intercultural understanding, and appreciation for the French-speaking world.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Develop and deliver dynamic and interactive French language lessons that align with the IB curriculum standards and the school's educational objectives.

2. Create instructional materials, resources, and assessments that cater to diverse learning styles and promote language acquisition at various proficiency levels.

3. Incorporate authentic cultural materials, literature, and multimedia resources into language lessons to enhance students' cultural competence and global awareness.

4. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel motivated, supported, and encouraged to communicate in French with confidence and fluency.

5. Assess students' language proficiency and progress using a variety of formative and summative assessment methods, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their growth.

6. Integrate technology tools and digital resources effectively to enhance language learning experiences and facilitate communication in French both inside and outside the classroom.

7. Collaborate with colleagues to align French language instruction with interdisciplinary units of inquiry and promote transdisciplinary learning opportunities.

8. Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum planning sessions, and professional development activities to enhance teaching practices and stay updated on best practices in language education.

9. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress, achievements, and areas for further development in French language learning.

10. Actively contribute to the school's language and cultural enrichment programs, including French language clubs.

11. Uphold the mission, values, and policies of the school, and serve as a positive role model for students, demonstrating enthusiasm for French language.

12. Collaborate with the school's leadership team to support the overall mission and goals of the IB program and the school community.

**Qualifications**:
1. **Bachelor's degree in French Language, Education, or related field**; master's degree preferred.

2. **Native or near-native proficiency in French, **with excellent oral and written communication skills.

3. Previous experience teaching French language in an **IB or international school setting is preferred.**

4. **Strong understanding of the IB curriculum framework** and approaches to teaching and learning in language acquisition.

5. Knowledge of current trends and best practices in language teaching pedagogy, assessment, and technology integration.

6. Cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse cultural backgrounds and perspectives.

7. Ability to differentiate instruction and adapt teaching strategies to meet the needs of individual learners and promote inclusive language learning environments.

**Salary**: ₹900,000.00 - ₹1,100,000.00 per year
